A viral video depicting a man setting off fireworks during a New Year celebration in Hangzhou, has sparked a criminal investigation by the Shangcheng Branch of the Hangzhou Public Security Bureau, Zhejiang province. The man surnamed Li, 22, set off fireworks during a balloon release around midnight on Jan 1 despite warnings from onlookers. Police quickly restrained Li and confiscated the fireworks, averting any injuries at the scene.
Li, the suspect, has been placed under criminal detention by the public security authorities in accordance with the law.
今年跨年夜，浙江省杭州市上城区湖滨步行街峰值人流近9万，累计人流超过27万。1月1日0时许，李某（男，22岁）为博取眼球，在湖滨步行街人群放飞气球期间，不顾旁人劝阻，点燃随身携带的烟花向空中喷射。犯罪嫌疑人李某现已被公安机关依法采取刑事强制措施。目前，案件正在进一步办理中。
