Don't go to a movie. Going to a movie you can't talk. You can't get to know each other. It's a horrible first date. It's just pointless. Too Touchy Too Fast. Don't get too touchy too fast. It just comes off wrong. And even if you're not a creeper, it kind of feels like that. Don't talk about your ex. If you're directly asked, obviously be honest. But don't spend the date talking about that.
Don't rush into talking about the future. You can talk about where you see yourself going in the future, that's part of getting to know each other but don't talk about a future together. That's like a lot for a first date. Balance between talking about yourself and asking about them. Don't only talk about yourself but also don't not talk about yourself. It's a balance between asking questions and also answering.
