It is reported that Chinese representatives clashed with representatives of western countries again at the 48th session of the United Nations Human Rights Council on October 10. The representative of China said forcefully that China would vote against the resolution abolishing the death penalty. The death penalty is a legislative and judicial issue within the sovereignty of a country. There is no consensus in the international community on the issue of the retention or abolition of the death penalty.
报道，中国代表于10月10日在联合国人权理事会第48届会议上再次与西方国家代表发生冲突。据了解，这次对峙的最主要原因是在废除死刑的问题上双方意见不同。西方国家的代表以捍卫人权为借口，谴责一些国家至今没有废除死刑。对此，中国代表给予了强硬反击。
