90-year-old man’s love letter to his ill wife has tugged at the heartstrings of Chinese netizens, who were swoon by the duo’s romance that defies age and time.
Tang Junwen, from the city of Meishan, southwest China’s Sichuan Province, delivered on Thursday a letter to his hospitalized wife expressing his profound love and wishing her quick recovery. The touching story brought Chinese online users to tears, with many sharing their good wishes on China’s Twitter-like Weibo.
“我像孤儿一样，没有你我该怎么办？”一封500多字的情书，感动了病房内的所有人。情书出自90岁的老人唐俊文之手，是他写给老伴刘贤瑞的。2月13日，刘贤瑞婆婆因重病入院，儿女们怕唐俊文老人担心瞒着老人。当天下午，腿脚不便的唐俊文老人找遍了眉山市人民医院的每个病房，以及平时常和老伴去的公园和菜市场。最后终于在病房里见到了老伴。
