The Spring Festival is traditionally a time for family gatherings in China. In recent years, family travels have become increasingly common that help to drive a tourism boom across the country. Guangdong, Sichuan and Hunan received the most tourists among all provincial regions. Nearly half of travelers drove instead of taking public transportation.
Overseas travel remained popular, with Chinese tourists from nearly 200 cities visiting 68 countries and regions during the holiday. Nearly half of overseas travels were independent tours rather than escorted group tours.
对于中国人来说，春节是非常重要的节日，作为一年的开端，很多人即使再困难也会回家跟家人团聚。可是也有人意识到，如今越来越多的中国人春节情愿去旅游，也不待在家里过年，这究竟是为什么那？
