大学新生独自报到值得奖励吗？ Welcoming freshmen at the gates of independence
As the new academic year begins, freshmen are entering college campuses across the country, many of them accompanied by parents or other well-wishers. Xidian University in Xi'an city, Shaanxi province, has introduced a policy that has caught everyone's attention.
It will give away "Freshman Independence Award" to those who come to college alone, not accompanied by parents. Awardees will receive a certificate, a specially designed T-shirt, and a photograph of them entering the campus taken for memory. That's a very innovative idea and will encourage the young to be bold enough to travel hundreds or thousands of kilometers on their own to reach their new colleges.
终于考上大学了，爸爸妈妈、爷爷奶奶，七大姑八大姨，都盼望着成群结队送孩子上大学的这一天。但是，西安电子科技大学却不提倡长辈来送孩子入校，为大一新生设立了“独立报到奖”引发舆论热议。有网友认为这反映不少大学生仍是“巨婴”，很可悲，但也有网友批评学校过度解读了送孩子入校的行为。
