我国成人平均身高出炉啦 Chinese people are getting taller
As the nation's economy and power continue to grow, Chinese people are getting taller, but they are also putting on weight at a worrisome rate, according to a report released by the National Health Commission on Wednesday. The upside is that the average height of Chinese people aged 18 to 44 has increased to nearly 170 centimeters for males and 158 cm for females, thanks to an increased intake of high-quality protein, such as dairy products, seafood and poultry, according to the new report.
"Chinese residents are living a more sedentary lifestyle due to the development of sophisticated transportation systems and the widespread use of electronic devices," the report said.
12月23日，国新办举行发布会，发布《中国居民营养与慢性病状况报告（2020）年》。报告显示，中国成人平均身高继续增长，18-44岁中国男性平均身高169.7厘米，中国女性平均身高158.0厘米，与2015年发布结果相比分别增加1.2厘米和0.8厘米。
