三星堆火了，外星人文明？'Sacrificial pits' reveal ancient artifacts
Six "sacrificial pits", dating back to 3,200 to 4,000 years, were newly discovered in Sanxingdui site in Guanghan, Sichuan province, as per a news conference in Chengdu, Sichuan provincial capital, on Saturday. Over 500 artifacts, including gold masks, bronzewares, ivories, jades, textiles, among other varieties were unearthed from the site.
Sanxingdui site covers an area of 12 square kilometers, and its core zone of an ancient city covers 3.6 square kilometers. According to the National Cultural Heritage Administration, studies of Sanxingdui site will become a pivotal project in an ongoing program Archaeology China, which tries to explain the origins of Chinese civilization and how diverse cultures communicate and come together.
3月20日，“考古中国”重大项目工作进展会通报，三星堆遗址考古新发现6座“祭祀坑” ，现已出土金面具残片、巨青铜面具、青铜神树、象牙等重要文物500余件。其中一件黄金面具体量非常大，有可能成为国内所发现的同时期最大黄金面具和最重金器。
